Who we are
We are a family blessed with the privilege of living in a world that is as abstract as it is real—a place brimming with life, radiating energy and serenity. We are five people, each with a smile that lingers like a rare and precious painting. A father, a mother, and three sisters whose blend of personalities and shared dreams has shaped a tangible reality, rich in bold colors and soft tones, all held within the embrace of an ancient estate and the strength of a proud family lineage.
We are the heart of Parco Statella—a green island cradled by the majesty of Mount Etna and the towering walls of the Nebrodi mountains. We are a chest of pure air, a wellspring of energy, a quiet nook in which to curl up, and a wide-open space where you can breathe freely. We are the place you retreat to when the world feels heavy, and the place from which you set off to discover the beauty that gives Sicily its soul.
We are rural hospitality that weaves together the wonders of nature, the elegance of privacy, the joy of human connection, and the warmth of simplicity. Our greatest wish is that our guests feel at home, even while far away—welcomed into a stay that brings peace, beauty, and a memory that lasts forever.
Our Story
Ours is a family rooted in a place where time seems to move with the rhythm of the seasons. Statella was once the summer refuge of our ancestors, a haven where life followed the golden cycle of harvest. When the wheat ripened under the Sicilian sun, the family would return—filling the estate with laughter, dialects, and the clatter of carts and hooves. The baglio came alive, a living heart that pulsed with voices and hands at work, sorting the fruits of the surrounding lands.
Autumn arrived with the sweetness of grapes and the heady scent of must. Then came the first crisp breath of winter, and with it, the gentle ritual of combing the olive trees. The sharp fragrance of freshly pressed oil marked the season’s end, trunks were packed, and the journey back to the city began.
But Statella never slept. It kept its secrets tucked within the woods, whispered them through branches, hid them in the meadows, and scattered them among acorns like forgotten fairy tales. It is our family’s legacy—alive, proud, and full of stories.
Our father brought it back to life, respecting its soul while opening it to the needs of a new generation. Then, he entrusted it to us. And so here we are, living each day with the land, inhaling its meaning, honouring its silence, and sharing it with those who seek something more than a place to stay. .
